Pinchen

James Pinchen started brewing at Corpusty in 1860 and acquired the South Creake brewery by 1896. In August 1898 the South Creake brewery was destroyed by fire and was rebuilt. In 1908 he began trading as J.Pinchen & Sons but by 1921 the South Creake premises had been converted into a razor blade factory but brewing continued in Corpusty until the 50/60's.

W.Everett William Everett was first listed between 1896 and 1904 ion the Kelly's Directory At Bond Street Cromer and was listed up until 1929 but not in 1933 the 1929 entry states William Everett Mineral Water Manufacturer Bond Street Telephone 139

Blomfields

Blomfields started before 1883 as a mineral water manufacturer, but at that time the company was owned by Maria Sarah Blomfield but between1896 and 1904 the company changed hands to Thomas Blomfield. Then by 1912 the company had changed hands again to Mrs E.M. Blomfield, the company was still trading past 1933

Hobbies Ltd The first entry i could find for Hobbies Ltd was in 1900 as Fretwork machine and tool makers. In 1904 they incorporated John Green and expanded into seed merchants. Hobbies Ltd is sill in business today.

Rowland Metcalf started as a chemist in Fakenham around 1888 after leaving Fakenham R.A.Metcalf continued at King's Lynn, where he expanded into drinks manufacturing with a factory at the Southgate Works, as well as continuing as a chemist until 1933 when they became Metcalf and Spreckley.

Nourse & Rowell occupied the Golden Lion public house in Hunstanton between 1879 and 1892. Benjamin F Rowell was then listed in the 1896 Kelly's Directory a mineral water manufacturer. By 1900 the company had been handed over to Mrs Mary Rowell also listed as a mineral water manufacturer.

Early 1920s Mr. R.W.Thrower started the company from scratch at premises at South Quay, King's Lynn. Mid 1920s he took over Watsons of Hunstanton and ran both factories until his untimely death at the age of 42 in 1938, winning both gold and silver medals for his drinks during that time. His Widow ran the business through the 1939/45 war supplying RAF and Army camps as well as local pubs etc. The Hunstanton factory was closed for security reasons during that time, and the Lynn factory was the only one of five in the town to remain open throughout the war. After WW11 the two sons took over and combined both factories into a new purpose built one on the Lynn Hardwick Estate in 1964 and production continued there until 1971 when the factory was sold and the firm moved to Hunstanton, trading from there as wholesalers finally closing in 1984. At its height it had ten vehicles on the road and employed about 30 staff.

The Eyres brewery was founded in 1820, and by 1854 was trading as Eyre and Chester, but then began to trade under the name of Eyre & Company in 1857 following the death of Elijah Eyre. The brewery  was sold in 1878. After the sale the firm traded as Elijah Eyre & Company. A limited company was registered in June 1896 but four years later was sold to Morgans.

Nicholls & Campbell William Nicholls took over from Fiddaman as the licensee at the Fiddaman's Hotel in 1884. In 1906 Thomas Campbell joined William Nicholls to form Nicholls and Campbell. Nicholls & Campbell ltd continued as wine and spirit merchants beyond 1932.

Steward & Patteson Ltd

In 1793 john Patteson moved from Birmingham to Norwich and set up a brewery in Pockthorpe taking over from Charles Greeve. He continued brewing up until his retirement in 1820. Following his retirement two Stewards joined his son in the firm and became Steward, Patteson and Steward. In 1837 they bought out Peter Finch and became Steward, Patteson and Finch. In 1895 they became a limited company and began trading as Steward & Patteson Ltd, the company then took over from Morse and Woods at Swaffham in 1895. In 1961 the company joined Bullards in a joint take over of Morgans. Then in 1963 Steward & Patteson was taken over by Watney Mann Ltd.

J.Bullen

J.Bullen was Listed in the 1901 Census as a Mineral Water Manipulator. He became the licensee of the Eight ringers pub in Wells between 1903 and 1905. Listed  as Joseph Bullen in the Kelly's Directory up until 1919, between 1919 and 1925 they became Bullen Brothers and commissioned Robert Claxton of Wells to Build them a new factory at Park Road, Wells, Bullen brothers ran into financial difficulties and couldn't afford to pay for the new factory. Robert Claxton took over from Bullen Brothers in the new factory and Joseph Bullen moved back to the Standard Works. Joseph Bullen continued producing mineral water up until early 1940's and Claxton continued producing mineral water at the Park Road Works until the 1970's.
